Members’ meetings
Our meetings take place at the Union Chapel, Wellington Road, Fallowfield, Manchester, M14 6EQ on the third Monday of odd-numbered months at 7.30 p.m., with the AGM at each September meeting.
Other events are as below. For more information about these or any other of our activities please contact us.
Wildlife Walks
On the 4th Sunday of each month at 10.30am, a small group of Friends meet at various points along the Loop to appreciate and note down the wildlife we see along the way. Sometimes we have a particular theme such as birds or butterflies; at others we just soak up all that the Loop has to offer . The walks take around 2 hours and are always gentle, never strenuous and we all learn from each other as we find and identify the many species of plants and creatures.
Subscribers to the Friends group receive notice of each month’s meeting point a week in advance . The contact if you want to know more is Ray Dumpleton on 07564 623530
Regular orchard maintenance
We carry out regular maintenance work on the community orchards along the Loop. Please let us know if you would be interested in helping out with these.

Everybody is welcome to come and help! Please have sturdy footwear, gardening clothes to cover arms & legs, and to suit the weather!
Please contact us to be added to the Friends’ mailing list for these events, or contact volunteers-north@sustrans.org.uk (telephone 0161 923 6050) for more information or to find out the meeting point for the next task day.
